Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a very sophisticated diagnostic imaging technique that produces images of the inner structures of the body without the use of radiation (MRI). A strong magnet and radio waves are used in MRI to create incredibly detailed images of the inside of the body. An ultrasound produces images of the inside organs using sound waves, a transducer, and a computer. Although it has more uses than just that, obstetricians are most familiar with it as a tool. In particular, ultrasound-guided pain treatments use it as a therapy tool. Images of the bones and organs are produced by radiography, sometimes known as X-ray, using radiation and radio waves. The most used non-invasive diagnostic technique today, X-ray was the first diagnostic imaging instrument ever utilised.
